Hello, I’m Dr. Shah.

I am double board certified in Family Medicine and Bariatrics (Obesity Medicine) and have over 20 years experience in women's health issues, in addition to weight management. As a lifestyle medicine physician, I have a passion for nutrition, fitness, and wellness that is based on a scientific foundation. I believe in a collaborative, holistic and integrative approach to wellness. My goal is to help each client remain authentic to themselves, while beginning the journey to a healthier lifestyle resulting in a more empowered version of themselves. As women, we are the backbones of our families and have so many people depending on us. That is why I have chosen to devote my coaching practice to YOU. I believe that the power of hard work coupled with positive mindset work will help you thrive and live your best life. Roopa Shah, MD.

Dr. Shah was born and raised in Detroit, MI. She completed both her undergraduate and medical school training at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. She has been serving patients in Madison, WI at SSM Health Systems since 2002. In addition, she is board certified in Obesity Medicine, and an Integrative Health and Wellness Coach through Duke University, plus a 200 hour certified yoga instructor. She can be seen weekly on local media, including Channel 3 and iHeart radio, discussing various wellness topics. She’s an avid runner, yogi, world traveler, and a successful lifestyle photographer. She is married to the love of her life, has 2 teenagers, and one adorable fur baby. Some of her favorite things are early morning sunrises, strong coffee, and a great workout soundtrack to get the day going.
